In Salon #7 07, the IMA serves up a salon breakfast with discursive theoretical contributions over three days, and dwells among other things in the time window opened in 2006 from the begin- ning of the 20th century until the Second World War. Many experiments were dared and dreamed in this period, and what we experience as media art today has its roots in this period. Here the questions arise: how were women involved in the processes in art and technology, and what dreams did they dream or how did the machine divas of the 21st century catapult these utopias into the third millennium? The performative long drink creates a space for artistic manifesta- tions of hearing and seeing. Schorsch and Florian will do the cooking.
