In electronic/digital art and its performances the production of sound and image is usually invisible and freed from its physicality. For the audience the result is often incomprehensible. At the same time we are confronted with many different production and presentation methods in this genre of art: from hardware hacking to live coding, from live performance to installation.

This project attempts to take a look beneath the surfaces. The invited artists, technicians, and theorists have been asked to present their methods and to engage in a discourse with the participants.
