The band name has technological and poetic connotations. In Russian the word “Pripoy” means solder, but it also sounds like an imperative verb which means something like “call to memory!” and “sing!” (reflection and articulation). The performers use analog synthesis, handmade sound generators, broken and rebuilt musical toys and other sounding garbage to produce noise with a female voice. Using software sequencers in addition, the band’s performances are getting a technoide character.
