Heinrich Deisl is a music journalist, radio producer and cultural theorist, based in Vienna. From 2011 to 2016, he was head of the arts + culture department of the community radio station Campus & City Radio 94.4 St. Pölten. 2013–15, he was editor-in-chief of »skug – Journal für Musik«. Since 2014, he works for Ö1/»Zeit-Ton«. Currently, he is writing his Ph.D. on the sound topography of Viennese popular culture since 1976 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, supervised by Diedrich Diederichsen. Numerous publications, conferences and lectures on contemporary music and pop(ular) culture. Long-time organisational and curatorial activities on festivals, concert series etc.
