Wolfgang Sander-Beuermann holds a PhD degree in Thermodynamics. He
started working in the field of computer science during a postdoctoral
research at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Since 1997 he
works at the computer center of Hanover University (RRZN) developing
search engines; his most wellknown project is the German meta
searchengine metager.de. In 2004 he initiated SuMa-eV, aiming to help
secure free and open access to the digital knowledge of the world.
