I am a post-doc researcher at the Graduate Programme “Automatisms”, University of Paderborn, Germany. In my PhD thesis, I developed a combination of Foucauldian concepts of power and Actor-Network-Theory in order to arrive at a relational perspective on the power of search engines. The resulting analytical tools are used in an exemplary study of Google, which includes mapping the topology of network relations and tracing stabilisations of the actants’ ascribed roles and functions.
