The resonance room 06 will open a time window from the beginning of the 20th century to the beginning of the second world war. Many utopien dreams were dreamed and a lot we call multimedia art nowadays is based on that dreams. One question is how women participated in the process of art and technology and what kind of utopic dreams did they have? Seppo Gründler and Cordula Bösze will discuss this question along the live and work of Mary Ellen Bute and her pioneering work in the so called ”Lichtmusik”.

IMA fiction is the first double portrait presenting the artists Rebekah Wilson aka Netochka Nezvanova by Elisabeth Schimana and Liesl Ujvary by Martin Breindl in the Institute’s portrait series dedicated to women artists from the field of media arts with a focus on acoustic art.
